Does anyone know anything about the brakes on a Porsche?

I have a 1985 Porsche 911 Targa (not a turbo). The brake lights come only when the brake pedal is pressed all the way upstairs, you must be nearly stopped for the lights to come. I heard that there is a switch under the pedal (I think) that controls the lights. Does anybody know anything? Can I adjust the pedal? Do I need buying a new game? Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

i got a 944 and the brake light switch is significantly the same, you can set the switch on the right to work unless its bad, you need the lighting is on only you press the pedal, anything over an inch 1 / 4, they should come on, and which is adjustable, you need a good manual on this car, it performs repairs a little easier to do, Haynes manuals are arranged so good on the Porsche, s good luck with it.
